The Comeback Protocol: What to Do When You Miss a Day

You will miss a day. Not might — will. The plan that doesn't account for this isn't a real plan.

What separates people who finish a 90-day system from people who quietly stop is not whether they miss a day. It's what they do the day after.

The wrong move is auditing the whole effort — treating one miss as proof the entire thing isn't working. The other wrong move is overcorrecting: punishing yourself with a brutal workout or an extreme spending freeze the next day, which usually causes the next miss.

The right move is almost anticlimactic: do the smallest version of the standard today. Five minutes of movement. One line in the tracker. Re-read your own rules if you have to. The goal isn't to make up for lost time — it's to keep the chain from breaking twice in a row.

Missing a day doesn't restart the count. Only quitting does. This exact protocol is built into RESET 90.
